Terms of Service
Effective Date: February 4, 2026
Welcome to the official website of The Larry Pickett Foundation. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our website.
1. 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Status & Donor Intent
The Larry Pickett Foundation is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.
The 85/15 Model: By donating to a specific “Underfunded District” or “Survivor Restoration” campaign, you acknowledge that 85% of your net donation is restricted to that specific project. The remaining 15% is allocated to the Foundation’s Strategic Reserve to fuel advocacy, cinematic storytelling, and operational integrity.
Surplus Clause: In the event that a specific campaign exceeds its goal, additional funds will be considered unrestricted and utilized to fund the Foundation’s general mission of equipping first responders and restoring survivors.
2. Intellectual Property & “Stories of Service”
All content on this website—including text, graphics, logos, and specifically our cinematic video assets—is the exclusive property of The Larry Pickett Foundation and is protected by U.S. and international copyright laws.
Limited License: We grant you a limited, non-transferable license to view and share our content for non-commercial, awareness-building purposes only.
Prohibited Use: You may not download, edit, or repurpose our “Stories of Service” videos or the likeness of the heroes and survivors we feature without express written consent. These assets are protected as part of the National Library of Courage.
3. Trademarks & Heritage Honors
The names, logos, and honors associated with the Legion of Valor of the United States of America, the Chapel of Four Chaplains, and The Larry Pickett Foundation are trademarks or protected heritage marks. Unauthorized use of these marks is strictly prohibited.
4. User Conduct & Non-Solicitation
Selection Process: You acknowledge that all Valor Grants and Equipment Grants are awarded through a non-solicitation, board-vetted process. The Foundation does not accept unsolicited applications for cash grants.
Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate information when making a donation or interacting with our community features.
5. Limitation of Liability
The Larry Pickett Foundation provides its website and services on an “as is” basis. While we strive for 100% transparency in our 85/15 model, we make no warranties regarding the uptime of third-party fundraising platforms (e.g., GoFundMe Pro) or the tax-deductibility of donations in specific international jurisdictions.
6. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Raleigh, NC.
7. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Your continued use of the site following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
