The Larry Pickett Foundation

a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization

Leslie Boyer

Board Director

Leslie Boyer brings over 26 years of distinguished law enforcement experience and a heart for service to the Board of Directors of The Larry Pickett Foundation. Born and raised in Queens, New York, Leslie’s career in public safety began at the Nassau County Police Academy in 1989, leading to a decorated tenure with the MTA Police Department (formerly the Long Island Railroad Police).

Throughout her decades in the field, Leslie was known for her ability to balance rigorous enforcement with deep community advocacy. A key member of a specialized Homeless Outreach Program, she worked on the front lines of New York’s transit system, connecting vulnerable populations with vital housing, medical resources, and mental health support. Her perspective as a first responder was further forged during the events of September 11, 2001, where she served on the ground during one of the city’s most critical moments of need.

Since her retirement in 2015, Leslie has continued her lifelong mission of service. She is an active member of the Retired Guardians of the NYPD and a dedicated contributor to the Detective Keith Williams Foundation. Her commitment to community health is seen through her leadership in major fundraisers, including the annual Walk for Autism and Breast Cancer Awareness walks.

As a mother and a veteran officer, Leslie’s unique blend of tactical experience and “boots-on-the-ground” compassion makes her an invaluable asset to the Foundation. She is dedicated to ensuring the organization’s initiatives effectively restore, equip, and empower heroes and vulnerable individuals alike on a global scale.
